25 Year Warranty on all Belts.

My belts are Australian Made from the finest full grain leathers, never processed or bonded leather.

This results in a strong belt that will never crack apart, break, or stretch excessively. If it does, send it back and I will replace it with the original size order for 25 years!

Warranty is for 25 years and transferable. In other words, I warranty the belt no matter how many times it’s been traded, sold or given away.

A lot of people have asked me how I can stay in business offering such great customer service and warranty protection. The answer is simple. I believe that my consumers, as a whole, are honest people. The occasional customer who is dishonest are few and far between, so even if I lose every once in a while due to dishonesty, my reputation of great customer service, regardless of the situation, brings me more good customers.

What exactly does the warranty cover?

This warranty covers product material and construction under intended wear and use. My leather belts are intended to be worn with pants and to hold appropriate gear, such as holsters and various utility equipment specifically meant for attaching to belts. Accidents such as chemical spills, animals chewing on the belt and damage caused by misuse are not covered and will render the warranty void.

If I punch holes in the belt does it void the warranty?

As long as the holes punched are spaced 3/4" or greater from existing holes it does not void the warranty

Punching holes closer than 3/4" apart compromises the structural integrity of the belt.

Advantages of a Leather Covered / Roller Buckle on Your Belt

A sturdy buckle is a necessity for a durable belt. But why a leather / roller covered buckle? They actually provides a crucial benefit. When using your belt everyday it reduces wear on the belt. The leather covered / roller buckle rolls over the leather and greatly reduces the wear from a non leather covered / roller buckle. This virtually eliminates friction wear around the area where your buckle tongue goes through the belt holes.

I highly recommend the leather covered /roller buckles for this reason. A sturdy belt deserves nothing less than the sturdiest of buckles!

What makes our belts any good?

One common question I get asked repeatedly is: "It looks like a regular belt. What makes it any different than a belt I buy in a store for $25??" It's a great question and a real easy one to answer.

Your store bought belt are marked as "Genuine" or "Bonded". This is almost always processed leather scraps. They take scrap pieces of leather and grind them up and process them into a leather product much like particle board is constructed. The resulting product is then usually laminated to plastic backs.

A Reece's Handmade Leather Goods belt comes from this:

That is a Full Grain USA Steerhide. No processed leather and no scraps. I cut a piece off and build a belt. This results in super rugged, good looking, and ultra long lasting belt.

Belts made in this way tend to stretch very little and will never break at the holes. Add to this all our belts are made right here in Australia, never imported.

So in closing sometimes it is hard to see the quality and strength in a belt by looking at a picture. Once you open the package and pull it out the difference is immediately clear.

 Shipping + Fulfilment

Handmade belts take time. Your belt should ship within 1 week of when you ordered it, and depending on where you live, it will take 2-5 working days to get to you in Australia, and up to several weeks to other parts of the world. If you live in Australia and don't have your belt in 3 weeks, get in touch with me. I may be behind because of the high volume of work.

Sizing

Q: How do I measure accurately for a belt?

A: Take the belt you wear most often and measure from the hole you use to the end of the buckle.

Leather Care

It's not a bad idea to condition your belt periodically. All my leather goods have been sufficiently oiled before leaving the work shop, so don't go crazy. You shouldn't have the do this more than once a year. Products I highly recommend are Oakwood leather dressing or 100% pure neatsfoot oil.
